OGS , do you know the wages that train drivers are on ? , these strikes are affecting the low wage employees which are trying to make ends meet in this global situation which is caused by the war in the Russians and COVID. Just think what state we would have been in and the lack of covid vaccine and extra deaths in Corbyn had been in charge during COVID

Re: Rail strikes announced 24-27 December
And wealth has been transferred upwards by a series of Tory governments for a decade, resulting in poor wages for ordinary people snd threadbare infrastructure.

So think about that next time you need to buy food, pay an energy bill, use a GP, use public transport etc.

Re: Rail strikes announced 24-27 December
All the current industrial action is being organised and supported by the union funded Labour Party, so when you can’t get a train, ambulance, our your hospital appointment is cancelled think of this before you vote in the next election.

Yet again, how am I a tory?

And what If I prioritise the vast majority of public that need services over a few militant self entitled cunts. I don't even commute. I use trains on match days only. And even then of there's a problem I just park at Upminster.

Many people rely on this service to get about their daily lives. It's them that are being screwed. Not me.

So the industrial action needs to target freight rather than people?

That would seem to be a solution to hitting (Tory supporting) businesses directly rather than the low/unskilled rump of the workforce.

Re: Rail strikes announced 24-27 December
WFH cunts will carry on doing just that when the strikes are on. The poorest really rely on the public transport, and do jobs that can’t be done from home. I guess Lynch just sees these as collateral damage, but he’s as out of touch as the Tories if he can’t see that he’s targeting the wrong people.

All the time people have a right to strike, they will strike, and they will strike at the times when it has the biggest affect, no point in striking otherwise.

OccupyGreenStreet 12:28 Sat Dec 10
Re: Rail strikes announced 24-27 December
Wages of ordinary people across most sectors have been suppressed for years as wealth has been transferred upwards. The idea is to allow people access to credit instead to make ends meet. Getting people into debt over basics like food, housing, student fees etc is profitable.

No wonder that this winter ordinary people have said fuck that for a system.

Mad Dog 12:03 Sat Dec 10
Re: Rail strikes announced 24-27 December
My huge issue with strikes is that the wrong people get hurt by them.

Rail strike doesn't affect the rail bosses. Most passemgers will have their season tickets paid for in advance. They won't lose out. It just fucks the public. Same for most industries.

It really shows the character of the cunts that run unions, and other lefty union types, that they’d strike over Christmas, and cause misery to thousands.

Maybe the government should use some of the expertise it has at it's disposal to manage inflation out of the UK economy.
